Posted on Mon, 10 Nov 2014
Question: I am having lower abdominal and back pain. It feels like a dull ache that gets more intense when I sit down. I feel a lot of pressure as well as the dull aching. I am also having bladder leakage, I don't know if these are related or not. The pain gets pretty intense at times and then lets up. Wondering what could be going on?

Brief Answer:
It may be a Urinary infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for your query.

I understand your concern but dont worry so much because it can be treated.
As you describe abdominal and back pain with bladder leakage, it is most probably a urinary tract infection. To confirm which bacteria have caused this infection you need to get a urinalysis with urine culture done. Hence you confirm the diagnosis and the kind of antibiotic therapy that is effective for your infection.

For the pain you can take buscopan because help the relax the spasms.

All the best
