Brief Answer:
Age related- to be confirmed by tests.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having loss of sensation of smell and taste.

I would like to ask you few more details.
Is there any allergic rhinitis ( sneezes, running nose) ?
Did you underwent sinus surgery or any accident related to head injury ?

Kindly get back to me with the details.

As such, age related loss of sensations ( sense & taste ) is quite common after 60 years. It is always partial loss.

Complete loss always pathological, and should be evaluated.

I suggest you to to consult ENT surgeon, give detailed history ( anti depressants, Bp medications), detailed ENT examination ( allergy, polyps, atrophic rhinitis) , special tests- electrogustometry. If necessary CT scan of brain with para nasal sinuses. Depending on the examination reports further treatment is required accordingly.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
