Brief Answer:
Hair loss with treatment is reversible ,treatable

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.
Hair loss during treatment of tuberculosis is quite a common problem.
Some degree of hair loss might continue throughout the treatment period. This can occur due to various reasons. It can be due to the disease itself or due to the drugs given or even stress over body can lead to this hair loss.
After stopping the drugs, it might take three to six months to get back the normal hair growth and the lost hair.
I would advise you not to worry too much about this problem since worrying will itself increase the hair loss. Hair loss in this problem is reversible and you will get back your normal hair once the tuberculosis heals.
In the mean time, to minimise the hair loss, you can start applying zydip lotion over the scalp at night daily. This will promote hair growth and will decrease the hair loss.
Also once your treatment for tuberculosis stops, you can start taking tablet biotin once a day .
I am sure this will help you.

Brief Answer:
Steroid induced damage to skin

Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Betnovate is a strong topical steroid cream and should not be used over the face for a long time. It can lead to various side effects in the form of increased skin sensitivity, redness, irritation, itching, thinning of skin, pigmentation, increased hair growth and many other problems
The same seem to be happening in your case as well. So the most important thing is that you should stop its application immediately. You might face a few problems when you stop using it since your skin has become addict to it.
I would shift you to a weaker steroid cream and then advise you to stop it altogether.
So you can start application of cortisone cream over the face twice a day for five days. After this, apply it once a day for the next five days. Then apply it only on alternate days after this, you can altogether stop cortisone cream as well.
You should use a good medicated sunscreen all time before going out in the sun since your skin must have developed sun sensitivity due to prolonged steroid use.
Also keep your face moistured by using a good moisturising lotion.
To decrease discomfort, you can take some oral antihistamine tablet like tablet claritin or levocetrizine once a day for atleast two weeks.

Hope it helps

Brief Answer:
Necessary to stop Betnovate use

Detailed Answer:
Hi again Ranbeer

Sorry for the late response.
As I told you earlier, your skin has become used to a very strong steroid cream.
It is better to stop its application as soon as possible since the side effects due to its continously usage are many.
That is why I have recommended that you should switch over to a weaker steroid cream like cortisone which has less side effects and it will decrease the development of skin irritation due to stoppage of Betnovate.
In addition, as I told before, you should regularly take oral levocetrizine tablet for sometime. This too will decrease the irritation.
You might still face some difficulty on stopping the use of Betnovate but it is very essential to stop all steroid usage over face soon since it has many side effects.
