Brief Answer:
Can be capsular inflammation or decreased joint lubricants.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
At your age, the pain in the knee can be due to stress related minor capsular inflammation or a decrease in the joint lubricants or osteoarthritis.
It mostly subsides by taking antiinflammatory agents and mild pain killers like ibuprofen.
Although the exercises vary depending upon the type of pain you are experiencing, here are a few general exercises to get you started.
Straight Leg Raises
Wall Squats
Stand with feet shoulder width apart next to a wall or railing. Lift your heels off of the ground as high as possible. Slowly lower heels back to the ground and repeat.
Hamstring contraction and quadriceps drill will also help. You can learn all these exercises under the guidance of a physiotherapist who can assess the amount of stress your knees can handle.

I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
