Question: sick thursday 1/22 with fever , achy, by sunday no fever but intermittent flat pink rash. treating with benadry and advil. now fingers swollen with intermittent itchy rash , and painful tips of fingers, is this viral?

I read your question and i understand your concern. painful itchy rash with fever and swollen fingers for the last 3 to 4 days history is likely viral. It could be a dermatological manifestation of a parasitic infection as well. Or simply acute dermatitis and eczema can explain all that. Apply some topical hydrocortisone over the rash and continue taking benadryl or advil. If the symptoms persists for 72 hours or more still, then get a doctor and let them run some labs and correlate it clinically. No worries, what ever it is, it is easily manageable.
