Hi Welcome
I understand your concern.
I advise you to get an ultrasound abdomen to confirm the diagnosis.Depending on the report we can assess the mode of treatment (medical or surgical).Meanwhile if you have pain continue with your present medication.

Then i used to have pain on right lower part when i lay on right abdomen in bed but that also has gone after i took gas relief tabs . I have ibs since ten years and in 2011 i did colonoscopy and i was told that i have diverticulosis in sigmoid colon. No polyps or anything and was told to repeat colonscopy after 5 or 10 years.I have chronic constipation and always on movicol. Lately i have no pain at all but since two weeks i feel a mass in lower right abdomen when i bend or move my right leg up . No swelling or pain just i feel as if some mass there . I took lot of laxatives , it helped but now i feel the mass in right groin and upwards a little . When i walk or bend but no pain and and my general wellbring is good
Ism very worried even to see a dr

Brief Answer:
Possible Diverticulitis?Need to rule out abscess.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I understand your concern.

I have gone through your query in detail.

With past history of diverticulosis and a sensation of mass, the possibility of diverticulitis and an abscess has to be ruled out. This is most important in the current context, since such a condition needs an early surgical management.

Lone diverticulitis can be treated medically, but an abscess requires immediate surgical drainage.

Hence, I advise you to get CT abdomen at the earliest.

Update me test results.

Post your further queries if any,
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Need to rule out hernia

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I understand your concern.

Okay, I take down down your history.

In such a case, an ultrasound of the groin or CT abdomen can help to assess this painless mass of the groin.

In such cases, the possibility of hernia has to be ruled out.

Hence, get an ultrasound of groin for ease and convenience at the earliest.

Thank you.
