Brief Answer:
ingrown nail management options

Detailed Answer:
Hi!

Welcome to health care magic!

I am Dr. Saddiq Ul Abidin. I have read your problem in detail and will try to help you in best way possible.

The mainstay of management would depend upon few factors. If margins are infected, like having puss, inflammation or discharge then antibiotic cover after sending cultures from wound surface.

If it is not infected, dips in XXXXXXX warm saline water may help. Using anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen helps for pain relief. Avoiding closed shoes will also be helpful.

If following measures are not adequate, then surgical options which include, incision and removal of ingrown segment followed by tight dressing after applying nail splints or braces to guide the direction of proper growth may be done. Antibiotics like augmentin may be given afterwards.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. kindly rate me generously before closing, and leave your feedback if possible.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ul abidin.
