Suggest Treatment For Hypertension And Diabetes
Question: Iam diabetic and hypertensive.for diabetic taking gliperimide 2mg and Metformin1g s.rand for BP was taking telma40 mg. I stopped telma as i was having skin rashes and allergy 6mths back .suddenly i checked my BP is 180/120 mg.what medicines i shall take for BP now

If you are not allergic to any other medicines safest would be to take amlodipine 5mg.
However I need to know if you are symptomatic and having any headache, vomiting, chest pain, breathlessness or weakness. If any please go to physician immediately and have consultation. If not you can take above medicine and monitor.
It's not safe for hypertensive patients to medicines without medical advice.
If have allergy to one you should move to alternative medicine. Even without any problem still I suggest you to see your physician and have detailed work up in next couple of days

I had being taking antidiabetics irregularly from 15 days back due to frequent travels and erratic schedule.Got my RBS checked .it is 440 mg.For BP i started telmact 40mg or telmach40 mg plus amlodepin 5mg .took night dose plus in the morning.BP is 130/80mg taken at afternoon.how shall i take the dose of Metforminand glimperative . earlier i was taking 2mg glimpermide and Metforming SR 1gm
