Question: My thyroid count is always high. I have calcium in my blood I have been taking Sensipar? Do I need surgery to remove blown out thyroid or should I try some herbal treatments

Good day.

Noted your concern. Since you are using Sensipar , I presume you have hyper parathyroidism. You did mention on high thyroid as well. Did you mean TSH or PTH? ? Could you attach the blood reports? Any ultrasound of neck done? What is the latest calcium value ? Any bone fracture or kidney stones? How is your kidney functioning? Did you have a bone density (DXA) scan done?

Apologies for asking many questions. But these are important to assess further and I will be able to find the best solution for you. Not all patients require surgery.The above questions are used to decide right treatment.
