Question: I have what I would describe a welts not so much a rash that has started on my upper outer thigh. It has grown to encircle my entire thigh. It is no more than one half inch wide. Now it is starting on my other thigh. The welts itch slightly but are bright red.

Brief Answer:
Probably urticaria!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have reviewed the attached image. This is suggestive of urticaria. Have you had any allergies in the past? I will suggest you continue with hydrocortisone cream as this is a good drug for this. Should this fail, you may add benadryl 25mg thrice daily by mouth. In addition, try to see if there is any new product around that might explain this allergy. It needs to be identified and avoided.

I wish you well. Keep me posted.
