Welcome to HCM,
At this age there might be having some infection, fungal or bacterial due to poor local hygiene.
Clean local part properly with warm water while taking bath.
Apply antibiotic, anti-fungal cream locally.
Wear short having elastic at both thigh leg part so that any dust enter on local part.
Use cotton nicker or short.
For itching give some antihistamine like Cetrizine.
Give plenty of water.
Ok and bye.

Hi My three month old son has bad eczema and scratches himself raw particularly at night and when he is hot. We are waiting for a referral to a paediatrician but in the meantime we need to make him more comfortable. Many friends and family are telling us many old wives tales or on line suggestions and we don t know what to believe. So far he is on alphderm hydrocortisone cream, and Oilatum in his bath. We had also been using aqueous cream but we have stopped using it recently as it seems to over moisturise and make his skin red and wet plus we have heard it is not good as a leave on cream. We also were prescribed diprobase but that was too strong for him also. What creams are best to use to stop the itching and keep him moisturised?

my son is having a slight allergic reaction to his second hep a shot. His arm in that area is red, swollen, itchy and warm. I have given him benedryl for the itch about 3 hours ago. It seems to have helped the itch for now, but is still swollen, red, and warm. The spot is about as big a round as a tennis ball. Is there something i can use at home to treat it? Will hydrocortizone cream help?

My son had a small red itchy bump at the edge of his bottom a few days ago. We thought it was a bug bite. He scratched it and it got bigger and scabbed over. Now it is itching more, has a red area around it, and he has a few more similar bumps near it (also itchy). No other bumps on his body. Any ideas?
My 4 year old son was stung on the top of his ear this afternoon. That area has turned purple. Is this normal? Or a sign that he might be allergic? I don't know if I should take him to the doctor or just ice it. What do you recommend?
