Brief Answer:
Are the hives itchy?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have reviewed your information fully. The SED rate is slightly above normal and supports a possible ongoing inflammatory process. This points to a possible urticaria. I will like to know if these hives are itchy. Also, is it possible to upload an image of what they look like? If the hives are itchy, I will suggest you take loratadine 10mg daily at bedtime for symptoms control. Loratadine has no adverse effects in babies being breastfed. Keep me updated about this.

I hop this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

They are very itchy and pop up and go away. I broke down and took a Zyrtec and that improved them. So I shouldn't worry about the SED rate? all my other labs were normal. I have read about postpartum hives and breastfeeding but I am not ready to stop.

Brief Answer:
NO need to get worried with the increased SED rate as it is explained!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

There is no need to get worried. I suggest you continue with Zyrtec if you are already on it. Put loratadine on standby.

I wish you well and keep me posted.
