Brief Answer:
Kidney function will likely improve

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
It cannot be predicted accurately whether the kidney function will return to completely normal levels.
However, if the stone surgery is done, then the infection and obstruction will gradually resolve. This will gradually restore the kidney function, provided the sugar levels and blood pressure are kept within the normal limits.
Please tell whether his urine output is normal and whether any abnormal renal findings like small kidney size was present on ultrasound. This will further help in assessing the situation.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Brief Answer:
Kidney size is normal

Detailed Answer:
hi dear,
i have reviewed the report.
The size of both the kidneys is normal in ultrasound.
However, in case of hydronephrosis, exact prognosis cannot be predicted.
Hopefully, the condition will improve with time. continue treatment under the guidance of a nephrologist.
