Brief Answer:
salt reduction with good sleep.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Looking at the blood pressure, in my opinion it is not too high. As he is not hypertensive, stress induced increase could be probable.
However, avoid medications at present and try to use alternate methods like
1. Reduced salt in diet
2. Reduction of stress with stress relievers like music, having family around etc.
3. I do not think he is smoking or taking alcohol. If yes, need to stop it.
4. In increase potassium in diet.
5. If the hemoglobin is normal, not to worry. Both anemia and polcythemia can increase blood pressure.
6. Sleep should be regular. Last night bad sleep can affect today's blood pressure.
7. NSAIDS should be limited.

Blood pressure in the elderly needs to be reduced slowly. If it persists, low dose diuretics might be necessary.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
