Suggest Treatment For Hematoma On The Left Cheek

Question: Hi, I had a bad accident 10 years ago which left me with a large hematoma on my left cheek. This week it has enlarged, and hot.. I've taken Motrin, Claritin, heat, and cold packs nothing has worked. Heat seems to make it worse. Should this still be happening?

This can be a fresh injury or a fracture

Hello,
I have studied your case. I can assure you that this swelling and pain is not related to ten year old injury. This is fresh injury and you might have a fracture in cheek bone.
I would suggest you to get x ray of this. If there is any fracture then you might need treatment for it and just pain killer and hot or cold fomentation is not going to help.
I would suggest you to meet a orthopaedic doctor or a maxillary facial surgeon and take his opinion, specially If there is difficulty in mouth opening.
