Suggest Treatment For Heavy Vaginal Bleeding Along With Severe Joints Pain

default
Posted on Tue, 9 May 2017
Question: I had a stroke a year and a half ago. I have a coil fitted afterwards to stop heavy bleeding as have a fibroid. Have joint pain and think I am going through menopause. I eat quite a healthy diet but have had a start stop problem with exercise due to inflammation of my joints with severe pain. I have started going to acupuncture. My weight gain began about 6 months before stroke as did bad joint pain. Have you got any advice about cause and possible remedy. I am about 12.5 stone and 5 foot 1 in height. I honestly don't recognise myself in a mirror.

Brief Answer:
different possible causes

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are different causes for joint pain (arthralgia), the most common causes of long term joint pain are: (1) osteoarthritis
(2) autoimmune types of arthritis -- lupus, rheumatoid arthritis etc
(3)infection but this would be associated with fever and systemic symptoms such as fatigue, feeling generally unwell
(4)trauma

The first two, arthritis, would be most common.

X rays and blood tests would be needed to check for these conditions. Treatment is usually pain medication and physiotherapy.
In lupus , RA and other autoimmune diseases (body fighting itself), additional medication is needed to suppress the body from fighting itself.

It is very understandable to have difficulty exercising with joint pain. You may want to consider swimming or water exercises which tend to be less painful.
Exercise machines such as rowers are also good with persons with knee pain, if this is a problem

It is possible to lose weight with diet changes alone. The main diet plans for weight loss are low carb diet or low fat diet/low calorie. They have very different meal plans which would available online.

You can choose the one that best suits you.

A food diary noting all foods and drinks used may be helpful as well

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
