Question: Hi Doctor,

I am married and 25 years old. I have a problem severe bleeding during periods. So I had undergone ultra sound scan and it states that I have polycystic ovary disease. But I have very regular periods every month and my weight is 56 kgs and height is 158cms.

I don't have any excessive hair growth symptom.I am planning to get conceive in next 2 months.

Can you suggest me in case of any complication in getting pregnant?

Brief Answer:
Advised Hormonal profile

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome to Health Care Magic Forum. Thanks for trusting us with your health concerns. I am Dr Manisha Jain.
Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a very broad spectrum term used to define hormonal and physical changes. Since you have regular but heavy periods and no hirsutism ( facial hair) and obesity which points that the problem is not very severe , I will advise you to undergo hormonal profile checks such as LH,FSH,to see whether you have hormonal imbalance because of the cystic changes in ovaries.
PCOD can lead to difficulty in conception but we will address this issue when we assess the severity of disease.
Please feel free to write to me at anytime .
