Suggest Treatment For Hard Lump On Testicle

default
Posted on Thu, 7 Jan 2016
Question: I have a hard lump on one of my testicles and wonder whether I should have this checked out. The lump seems to be a significant size, or maybe forms a significant part of my left testicle and I'm not sure whether it's just formed or it may have been there for a period of time

Brief Answer:
you need to get it checked.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query.

You need to get it checked as soon as possible. The majority of hard, painless lumps in testicles are caused by benign conditions like cysts , inflammations , inguinal hernia etc.
For a hard, painless lump that appears and increases in size in a short period of time ,the risk of testicular malignancy( testicular cancer) should be taken in consideration.
In this case a detailed medical history and physical examination are necessary to evaluate this risk .An ultrasound of the testicles might be necessary to determine the nature of this lump.

You need to consult a physician and get it checked.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any question.

Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati
