Question: I had oysters / lobster last monday 8/11 for dinner. Everything tasted fine as I have eaten seafood my entire life with no effects. An hour after we were done eating we went for a little walk and my chest (sternum area) was in a lot of pain and I had problems getting a breath. Went home and went to bed, woke up the next morning with hives in my arm pit area and on my stomache. The hives went away in 2 days but I am still having chest pain -maily after I eat OR have coffee. I have checked into Hernias but not sure. I have not gone to the Doctors as of yet

Brief Answer:
Chances you have developed gastritis

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

Thanks for writing in

From the information you have provided I presume, There are chances you have developed gastritis

It would be better if you avoid spicy, fried and fermented meals

If you were a patient in my clinic, I would suggest that you take a proton pump inhibitor twice a day before breakfast and before dinner

Add an antacid two spoons three times a day

A probiotic may equally be of help

Hope this helps
