Question: Hi, i am diabetic and suffering from infection in mouth consulted a doctor he said its fungal infection due to higher sugar level it come.Now i had used flucanazole and other tabs still not reduced and again i consulted the dorctor he has given tricanazole more powerful i am now using it but how much time it will take to healup,my sugar levels are under control now as per normal readings,please advise any substitute medication to get rid of this.

Dear friend, greetings from HCM. You have fungal infection just because of poor sugar control which reduces your immunity. Diabestes is a immuno compramised state. First thing is that.you need to take care of your sugar levels. Might be you require insulin injection s till it is cured. Plus take the anti fingals regularly. The faster recovery is based on your sugar control and keeping it with in normal limits. You need to avoid carbohydrates and take more of green leafy vegetables and fruits. Nuts, oats, millets, sprouts. Which not only control your sugar levels but also boosts your immunity. Take zinc syrup too. Finally you meet your physician and get proper prescription for sugar control. Do exercise walk at least an hour a day practice yoga and meditation. Thanks and whistles u speedy recovery
