Brief Answer:
Need more details.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the query.

I understand from your query that you had a fracture of left ankle 3 yrs back and suddenly since 2 weeks you have pain in the area without any swelling or any colour changes in the area.

I would like to know few more things to understand your condition better:
1. How was your fracture treated? Was it through only plaster or with any fixations?
2. Any history of injury or twist of the ankle in the recent past?
3. Any complications during the healing of the fracture?
4. How about the physiotherapy after the fracture?
5. Any other history which you feel is significant with your concerns.

I would like to reply you after knowing the details.

Awaiting your reply.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
Pain in the ankle might not be related to the fracture 3 yrs back.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the details. Sorry for the delay.

From the details provided by you, I feel that the pain might be due to stress over the ankle rather than related to the fracture 3 yrs back.

I would suggest you to follow these measures which will help in relieving pain:
1. Analgesics like Ibupropen or paracetamol for pain.
2. Hot fomentation over the area.
3. Apply analgesic spray like volini spray and crepe bandage on the ankle.
4. Follow mild ankle exercises like twisting the ankle in clockwise and anticlockwise direction for 5 mins two to three times in day.
5. Observe for improvements. If no improvements observed within 5 days after following the measures, I would suggest to see an Orthopedician for evaluation and might ask to get a X ray of the ankle.

Hope this answers your query. If any further clarifications, will be happy to help you.

Regards.
