Suggest Treatment For Foul Odor And Pain Near The Anus

Question: About a month ago I had to use a port a potty without toilet paper and my anus was really sore for a week. Since then, my anus has continued to be raw and is now starting to stink all the time. Could it be infected?

Going by description of symptoms , there could be maceration ( rawness ) of skin leading on to symptoms experienced by you .
There could also be associated skin infection , exact diagnosis will however depend on good clinical examination.

It would be helpful if you could provide me following additional information for me to be able to assist you further

1. Are you constipated?

2. Do you experience pain /discomfort while defecation ?

3. Is there any redness in skin surrounding anus? Providing clinical photograph will be helpful

Not constipated, only hurts to wipe if it takes too much wiping to clean, and is a dark red around anus.

Going by description of your symptoms its likely to be skin maceration . Local application of Ointment containing Zinc Oxide paste like Dr Smith's diaper rash cream will be helpful in relieving the issue.
