Suggest Treatment For Fluid In The Ears

default
Posted on Wed, 26 Oct 2016
Question: Hello, few months back i did some jaw exercises to get rid of fluid in ear. Since then, i sometimes get right jaw pain. From past few days, I am having pain in my right jaw on chewing or opening the mouth and it is not going away. I could also hear clicking sound on eating yesterday though it is not there now. My questions
1. Pain seems to be lower side right side of face, though not sure as i sometimes feel it is on entire cheek. It is there only on chewing or opening of mouth on right side.
2.Are there any topical ointments that can be applied to relax muscles on face. Please suggest names.
3.I had taken mobizox muscle relaxant once and puked. Can i cut it and take it in half or would be better if i dont use it at all. Have been taking voveran SR 75mg since two days. I find it difficult to eat medicines.
4.Will hot compress be better or cold one.
5.What is the reason of pain.

Brief Answer:
Jaw joint problem, Panoramic x ray, medicine, physiotherapy..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your query pain on chewing or opening the mouth along witb clicking sound is commonly associated with disturbances in the functioning of the jaw joint also known as TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT DYSFUNCTION..

So first of all you should consult a Dentist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Panoramic x ray, that is an x ray of entire jaw including jaw joint is done..
It will help in ruling out the exact cause of the pain..

Then it an appropriate treatment can be advised..

But still, as of now you can take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen while voveran and mobizox (Even can be taken half) can help..

If there is discomfort in stomach or feel like vomiting and nausea you can take empty stomach Pantoprazole along with Domperidone combination..

For relaxing muscle of face massage the side of face with oil in round gentle motion of finger tips...

You can do both hot and cool compresses but do not apply ice directly and wrap it in cloth..

Along with it while yawning keep your palm under the chin to avoid excessive mouth opening..

Take soft and semisolid diet..

Avoid Stress as it can cause teeth clenching, that can aggravate the condition...

Any further questions are welcome..

Regards...
