Suggest Treatment For Eye Infection And Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Neck
Needs ENT review and may need intravenous antibiotics
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible.
First of all, it is sad to know what your daughter had been experiencing lately. Based on the history you have shared, it needs detailed ENT and ophthalmologist opinions and may need to repeat CT or go for MRI head and neck as well as orbits to assess for extent of infection as chances of infection are still very high.
Swab and blood cultures and sensitivity may be needed to identify the exact causative bug. A blood work up to look for white cell counts as well as CRP and ESR may be needed on regular basis after few days to monitor the effect of antibiotics and if needed she may need indoor admission for injectable antibiotics.
Till then continue augmentin and for pain and swelling anti inflammatory drugs like acetaminophen or ibuprofen can be continued alongwith local anti inflammatory or antibiotic drops if suggested by the ophthalmologist.
Wishing her a speedy recovery. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
