Posted on Tue, 16 May 2017
Question: I was just discharged from the hospital after being admitted for excessive rectal bleeding. I was diagnosed with Diverticulosis. My blood level upon discharge was 8.2. I am not in pain or experiencing discomfort however I do tire easily. Is that to be expected until my blood level is normal?

Brief Answer:
yes, this is expected

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Yes, this is to be expected till your hemoglobin rises towards normal. Low hemoglobin means reduced oxygen being carried to the organs initially so fatigue occurs.
Eventually the body tries to compensate for the reduced blood count by increasing the heart rate so more blood is pumped.

Your level ,though low, is not at a dangerous level.

In adding to your other supplement of b1, you may need to consider adding iron supplements to help build your blood count.

Iron containing foods would also be beneficial such as green leafy vegetables (spinach, kale), dried fruits such as raisins, iron containing cereals, red meat if you use this product.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
