Question: Hi,
I am using the account of my boyfriend to post this question. We have tried to have intercourse for four times now. Unfortunately every-time, my boyfriend is unable to penetrate me. I am afraid that my vagina is too tight for penetration. Is this normal ? Also, could it be that it is his problem (size wise, what is the average size of an XXXXXXX male ?). We have tried lubricant, and he only managed to partially penetrate me. Please help.

Brief Answer:
Can be due to tight hymen.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
There can be many reasons which can come in way of this.
1. Male Factors - Poor Erection
If the erection is not strong, he will not be able to penetrate.
Is this the cause ??
2. Female Factors - Narrow Vaginal Orifice
Hymen which has very narrow opening
Dyspareunea (Pain while having intercourse)

Female factors such as narrow vaginal opening can come in way of insertion.
Some females have a very narrow opening in the Hymen (Membrane covering the Vaginal orifice). In such situations too, there will be difficulty in penetration.
Some females experience extreme pain before and during attempted insertion and this can some times preclude sexual intercourse.

If the erection is normal you can try few of the following.
1. Try using your fingers and see if there is any obstruction. If you can successfully insert two fingers, this will be enough to penetrate.
2. Use lots of lubrication/Vaseline.
Size of penis generally don't matter .even 2-3 inch in erection phase can cause sensation & arousal, because only lower 3rd of vagina is sensitive for sexual arousal.
So good amount of fore play along using lubricant like K.Y.jelly may help you.

If the problem still persists, get your self and your boyfriend evaluated.

Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Hi XXXXXXX
His erection is not the problem I think. His erection is about 4.8. Though I can put 1 finger easily, 2 is a little difficult. How can I increase my vaginal orifice size ? Is there any exercise that I can do ? Only 1/4th of his penis can enter, before it becomes very diffcult for me. Please advise.

Brief Answer:
Yes. Exercises can help./

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Medically various dilators can be used. The dilators, or probes, used are replaced with gradually larger sizes as the woman progresses. But these should be got done under medical supervision.
Exercises can be done which include pelvic floor muscle contraction and relaxation (Kegel exercises).
Make sure you are aroused and there is enough lubrication. Arousal is key because as stated earlier this affects your natural lubrication.
Hope my answer is helpful.
Do accept my answer in case there are no further queries.
