Suggest Treatment For Erectile Dysfunction In A Person With Prostatitis
Prostate most probably not at all contributing to the difficulty
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. The most likely cause for your difficulty is either your blood pressure, depression, cholesterol levels or all together; but the mild prostate enlargement cannot be the cause sir.
I would like to ask your latest:
+Blood pressure readings and how well your blood pressure medications are helping to control your levels?
+Your latest cholesterol readings
+Your level of happiness and how you would rate your level of depression or anxiety on a scale of 0 to 5; 0 being very badly controlled and possibly out of control and 5 being extremely happy and elated all the time
I look forward to hearing from you in order to help you further.
Best wishes.
Here is the information you requested:
BP ranges from 136/66 to 169/78 (meds: Atenolol 50 mg 1 1/2 in the morning and one tab in the evening); Edarbi 40 mg once per day; IC Hydrochlorothiazid 25 mg once per day; Aspirin 81 mg).
Cholesterol -- 169 (Lipitor 40 mg once per day taken in the evening.
Gerd--Nexium 40 mg twice per day.
Depression/anxiety--Lamotrine 1 1/2 tabs 150 mgs; IC Fluxoxetine HCL
On average I am at a 3...variable to 4....sometimes below 3...but briefly depending on the stress.
Another question....I am due for my 5-year colonoscopy next week. I am concerned about problems due to my BP, A-Fib, and meds. Should I be concerned? Thank you.
Queries addressed sir
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir and thank you for the information and your co-operation.
+Your blood pressure is not very well controlled, please consider visiting your doctor for a revision in your treatment regimen. Is mandatory
+Cholesterol is okay
+GERD should not be an issue that can contribute to the sexual issues
+Depression does seem to fluctuate quite a bit, but being close to 4 on most occasions seems average and quite good to me
No sir, BP and A-fib should not be an issue. The doctor conducting the colonoscopy will of course need to know your history, and will also go about a few precautions, but these conditions should not really be contraindications to the procedure.
Please do not hesitate to write to me for anything, I am always here to help.
Best wishes.
