Suggest Treatment For Dry Discoloration And Scar At Wound Site

Question: Hi Doctor, I have a scar left of a wound on my leg, the skin has become dry and looks life scabies. I used to apply T-Bact ointment. But he scar has not gone.

Hi.

I have reviewed the Image.
I can see that you have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation at the site of wound.
The surface is dry and scaly.

If I was the treating doctor I would suggest you to use a moisturizer cream/lotion, twice daily.
In addition to the moisturizer you may also use a moderately potent topical steroid e.g either triamcinolone acetonide 0.1% Or mometasone furoate 0.1% cream Or fluticasone propionate 0.05% cream, twice daily for 2-3 weeks.
These would help fade away the mark gradually.
