Question: I have been experiencing dizziness the last 3 or 4 days especially when I get up from lying down. I have had a cold it seems like in my sinuses (drainage, cough) the last couple of weeks. Should I get a prescription to help with the this?

Brief Answer:
You do not need a medication for this!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This is caused by a rapid drop in blood flow to the brain/head as you transition from a sitting to an upright position resulting in dizziness. This leads to a rapid dos in blood pressure and resulting consequence. I will recommend that you drink much fluids and avoid making quick changes in posture. When you transition from lying/sitting to upright, do it very gently, allowing sometime for the body to note the changes and adapt. Also, drink much water to always maintain a good blood pressure.

At this time, you do not need any medications of further investigations seen the recent nature of this. I will only ask for more attention or testing if this persists, though very unlikely that we will get there.

I hope this clears your mind and reassures you. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.

Kind regards.
