Suggest Treatment For Discontinuation Syndrome After Stopping Wellbutrin And Brintellix Intake
Question: I was on anti depressents for about 6 months
Moved between prozac, wellbutrin and brintellix in different combinitions and doses and still didnt feel a big a difference in my mood and will to do and enjoy things..
the past 3 weeks i have been only on brintellix as per the doctor advice after i developed further anxity that he telated back to tha mix if wellbutrin and brintellix
And since then my depression increased and i sleep most of the day
I got tired from all the trial and errors and side effects ao few says ago i decided to stop everything
I stopped having energy to do anything even to make myself a cup of coffee or tea and i sleep between 12-16 hours a day
I want to know if this is part of detoxing from all the medications and if there is anything i can do or take naturally to help give me energy so i can carry on with my life notmally
This is impacting my business and my relationship heavily .. i get sparks of energy that lasts between 30 mins and hour so i use them to fulfill my urgent duties but i flat out right after..

Your symptoms is due to discontinuation syndrome means sudden stopage of the drug.
As you are on antidepressants from last few months and you suddenly stop taking the medicines,your brain is not able to adjust with this sudden withdrawal respons,because some neurotransmitter which stimulate the brain ( serotonin and norepinephrine) suddenly stop.
The best way to stop antidepressants is in tapering dosage under supervision of a doctor, though they are not habbit forming but still cause some problems and symptoms if suddenly stopped.
