Question: 1 and 1/2 year old suffering from fishy smelling pale diarrhea. He is otherwise acting fine, less of an appetite than usual, but drinking and peeing frequently. Is this something to take him to the pediatrician over? We did just spend a week at the beach...

Brief Answer:
Antibiotics

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your query.
Yes, you take him to a pediatrician. Diarrhea without fever or vomiting can be due to lower gastrointestinal disturbance. He is loosing vitamins and electrolytes. Only drinking water will not cover up. He will require rehydration solution along with other medicines.
If not treated, fishy smelling diarrhea may lead to upper GI infection.
