Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea In An Infant

Question: My baby is 1 yr 5 month. Last week she had watery loose motions (started with vomiting but no fever) for around 5 days. We gave sporlac powder, Z &D drops, enterogermino and eamcet. From last 2 days she is good and motions are normal now. But she is feeling more hungry from last 3 days. We are giving same diet as before but she is feeling more hungry now. We are worried why she is frequently feeling hungry. My baby diet includes : morning and night we give dal rice, we include curd rice, kichdi, milk+biscuit, cerelac, fruits every 2-3 hours everyday. Sometimes we give boiled egg.

Its quite natural to have increased appetite when recovering from a viral diarrhea. I am happy that you were not prescribed any antibiotic which might have prolonged the duration.

Whatever feeds you are giving is perfectly fine. Please continue the same. Do not worry about over eating. She's just gaining what she has lost during illness.
