Brief Answer:
Advised not to take immodium...

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

The horrible bout of diarrhea you had is due to food poisoning ( most probably after eating a beef pot pie).

If I was your caring doctor would not advise to take immodium because diarrhea will help you clear off your bowels from the food poison although it seems to be horrible. Immodium will stop bowel movements, keeping the poison inside your body. Instead, you can use tasectan or kaopectate (bismuth subsalicylate).

Flagyl will help with your diarrhea. I also advise to take:
- more water to clean off your body
- probiotics to optimize intestinal flora
- more fluids (soups, juices, yogurt)
- lemon and soda drinks can also help

Hope it was of help! Do write me back if you have further questions!
