Question: I have a daughter who has been experiencing Bipolar II for a few years now. I have read the 30 main symptoms of Depression & now more fully understand what has been happening. She feels her problems have been caused by me not loving her & will not talked to me or her sisters & feels I have not loved her as much as her sisters. I don't know how to talk to her without upsetting her & feel quite helpless to know how to handle this situation.

I think, currently she is in depressive episode. In that case, she should be on mood stabilizer and antidepressants. The way, you have mentioned her symptoms, i think she has cognitive distortions, which are exaggerated or irrational thoughts that happens in depression and for them she needs cognitive behavior therapy. Cognitive distortion usually happens in number of case depression and it could lead to dispute. For that, you should consult a psychologist, that would help to maintain relationship between you and your daughter. For CBT and family therapy, you have to convince her.
