Brief Answer:
Multivitamin - not much side effects

Detailed Answer:
Hi....it seems the doctor had prescribed your daughter a multivitamin with s combination of B1, B6, B12.
The injury at 5 years is not related to present pain.
Coming to your queries -
1. The said medicine might give some symptomatic relief, but if there's no much relief within a couple of days... You need to see the physician again.
2. Not much of side effects as its only a multivitamin preparation, but if itching or other signs of allergy develop, you need to stop the medicine.
3. He has given it for 60 days because, vitamins need so much time to get replenished if they are deficient.
4. I cannot suggest any other medicine but if no relief as mentioned see a physician.

Thanks for your prompt answer.if it is not related to that injury then what could be possible reasons for such severe pain and do you think the pain with passage of time spread to whole hand or any other part of body. is it nervous system related and any particular diet you would suggest. On the rapper of the said medicine it is written that it should be taken twice a day while our doctor says to take once a day, what you suggest once a day or twice a day.Any precaution required like use of soap, not to use water(cold) or any other such things to be avoided. Is it curable or not?

Brief Answer:
Could be Reynaud's phenomenon

Detailed Answer:
Hi....There is a medical condition called Raynaud's phenomenon. With Raynaud's, blood vessels of fingers and toes go into vasospasm when exposed to cold or stress, narrowing them and temporarily limiting blood supply and thereby causing pain.

Exposure to cold, such as putting your hands in cold water, taking something from a freezer or encountering cold air, is the most likely trigger.

Other conditions which could cause this are - Connective tissue diseases, primary disease of blood vessels, Carpal tunnel syndrome or repetitive vibration and some drugs like - beta blockers, which are used to treat high blood pressure; migraine medications that contain ergotamine or sumatriptan, some over-the-counter cold medications.

I suggest you get back to your physician with this tip.
Coming to your queries -
1. Possible causes have been outlined above.
2. You can take the medication either once or twice a day... No harm.
3. No particular diet or restrictions.
4. Avoid being in contact with cold water or cold surfaces for prolonged time.
5. The primary condition as mentioned above should be found out and cured and that will control this phenomenon.

It seems you have missed my question as I asked whether it could spread to whole hand or to any other part of the body. Please answer to it.
