Question: Hi,
I am 27 years old and I am a female. I found a pea sized tissue growth at the entrance of anus which is soft and gets inflammed after bowel movement. It is getting flattened or becoming soft after sometime. It's not paining but when pressing it causes little bitpain.
It is not blocking the passage though. Can you please tell me the cause of such a tissue growth and any treatment required?
Please note I have constipation problem at times.

Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

What you're describing is very typical of a hemorrhoid.A hemorrhoid is a small swelling of tissue in the reptile or anal area related to inflammation or increased pressure in a blood vessel.

this can cause very tiny palpable areas which sometimes can become inflamed or painful. Sometimes even bleeding can occur related to a hemorrhoid.

Hemorrhoids can be caused by increased pressure when having a bowel movementand can be exacerbated when someone has constipation.

A couple of options regarding treatment. You can sit in a warm bath for 15 to 20 minutes a couple of times per day to help alleviate some of the swelling and inflammation. You could also buy an over-the-counter topical remedies such as preparation H which is a topical cream. You can apply the cream to the hemorrhoid three or four times per daythis will help to gradually improve the degree of swelling.

Thank you again for sending your question. If your symptoms become more progressive or do not respond to the remedies listed then I would suggest you see your primary care doctor for a full physical examination for further recommendations.

Thank you again for sending your question,

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
