Brief Answer:
Crying is the only way of expression in this age group

Detailed Answer:
Hi....I understand your concern. But crying is the only way of expression in this age group.

Babies of this age will not even be able to smile or giggle.

Babies of this age group cry not only for milk and feeds - They cry when they want to hear mother's voice, want to see mother, smell of mother etc.

Crying before passing urine and motion is also normal. Do not think it is painful. The urinary sensation and the sensation of passing stools makes the baby cry, as I told you, thus is the only way of expression.

Crying actually helps lung compliance in this age group.

A well growing baby with normal motion and urination is a healthy baby.

Brief Answer:
This is normal

Detailed Answer:
Hi... newborn babies gain 25-30g/day in the first 3 months.

But in the first 10 days they tend to lose 10% of bodyweight which they regain by 10th day.

Keeping this in mind, if we calculate, she has gained 34g/day in 23 days (as she is 33days old now).

Please be reassured that your baby is normal.

Please do get back if you have any further questions.

Brief Answer:
Sleep cycle or circadian rhythm will take some time

Detailed Answer:
Hi.... I understand your concern. But, when the baby is inside the womb everything is dark. So after birth the baby has to get used to the new concept of light and darkness, it will take some time for the sleep cycle or circadian rhythm to develop.

In some babies it can happen in 2 to 3 months and in some it can even take up to 6 months of age.

Please do not try anything to put the baby to sleep as it is not advisable at this age group.

Brief Answer:
This is only regurgitation and not vomiting - dont worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi...this is not vomiting and it is only regurgitation. As your baby's weight gain is normal, don't worry at all.

This is quite common and physiological.
