Question: Hi Doc,
I’m a 29 year old male weighing 78 Kilos and 6 feet tall.
I suffer from multiple problems which I believe could be all related and hope you could advise me on how to proceed.

-I have been suffering from Chronic Prostatitis since about 5-6 years. Presently not on any medication, managing it through exercise.
-I have symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome since over 6-7 years. Mainly it is feeling of bloating & bowel movement after a meal, feeling of incomplete evacuation/constipation.
-White coating on the back on tongue, bad taste in the back of my throat and halitosis- for about 10 years.
-Soreness on forehead and cheekbones like my sinuses are infected, and headache on working in front of laptop. Feeling of tight muscles in the back of neck, forehead and eyes. This has been intermittent since an year.
Besides the above, I do have dry scaly skin on back and legs , athlete’s foot, smelly scalp, scaly ears since childhood.
Since the past year I feel burning sensation on my penis glans when subject to mild friction which I believe is unrelated to prostatitis and actually is aggravating prostatitis.
Do you think the above symptoms are all related to some sort of imbalance in my body, perhaps candida overgrowth?. I have been to couple of doctors in the past year and did various blood tests, including CT scan for headache and everything came out normal. Please advise.

Brief Answer:
All related to stomach issues

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal
I have read your query.
I think most of your symptoms are related to the bowel issues.
The irritable bowel syndrome is also related to deficiencies of micronutrients.
This leads to a large number of deficiency induced disorders.
I therefore suggest
1. isapghulla husk 3 tsf at bedtime
2. tab amitryptiline
3. high fiber diet
4. high fluid intake.
5. multivitamins and micronutrients.
I am sure that the above will help you.

Hi Doctor,

Thank you for your suggestion. Do you think the bowel issues could be due to excess fungus or yeast in my body as I have other mentioned issues that are likely caused due to fungus. I have as a kid taken too many antibiotics for viral fevers and typhoid(twice). Is there any test i can do to determine the presence of excess fungus in the body?

Brief Answer:
Specific information

Detailed Answer:
A simple course of fluconazole usually should be enough.
Of course you can test with fungal blood culture.
But they are less sensitive and them bring negative doesn't rule out infection.
I don't think it is causing bowel issues.
and viruses are different from fungus..
