Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain And Shortness Of Breath

Question: My daughter has been having health symptoms for over a year. She has been majorly losing her hair and it has turned dry and brittle. She is so fatigued, she can barely get out of bed and has to force herself to go to work. Her joints hurt. Her mind is foggy and she's depressed. Her GP first said she had hyperthyroidism, then she said hypothyroidism. My dau went to another dr and he discovered a significantly sized goiter. She was tested and they said it's benign. The goiter hurts and makes it hard to swallow and breathe when she lays down. She recently spent the night in the hospital due to chest pain that radiated up the right side of her neck, and shortness of breath. They found no heart issues except an anterior wall abnormality which they said they aren't going to mess with right now. She's going back to the holistic dr today, who found the goiter, but will probably see an endocrinologist from here. Do you have any idea what could be wrong? She's reaching the end of her rope physically and emotionally and said she can't go on this way. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
It points towards auto immune disease

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

I have read the details. I appreciate your concern. The illness of your daughter points towards 2 differential diagnosis in the order of
1. Autoimmune diseases like Systemic lupus, Rheumatoid or mixed connective disorder
2 Occult cancer.
She requires extensive investigations for that/
I would advise some investigations
CBC, liver kidney function test, upper GI and lower GI endoscopy, CT scan of chest and abdomen, S. LDH.
Also, S. ANA, ESR, CRP, Rheumatoid factor, anti CCP antibody
Please discuss these things with your physician and revert back
Thanks and regards
