I have shaved recently so i would think it is an ingrown hair but it doesnt look like any ive had and isnt going away when i try and pluck it, it almost reminds me of a mole or something. I am sexually active but always wear a condom. Thanks!

Brief Answer:
possible wart variant or folliculitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm,
With the appearance , it appears like a wart variant as there is no pain and it has a typical frayed margins, skin coloured. Though it looks inflamed after plucking. It is suggested that you should get a swab test done to isolate the organism and reach a definite diagnosis if its viral aetiology or a simple bacterial pustule secondary to folliculitis.

Thanks! It did have a white middle on it but that was gone after i plucked at it. Does it look like it could be an std? And should i wait a couple days to see if it goes away or go see a doctor now?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the follow up,
well if the lesion had a white pustular mouth which you probably popped out, in that case it is more likely to be folliculitis and shall subside in next 3-5 days. It doesn't appear to be herpes or molluscum for sure but yes a wart variant may be a possibility if the lesion persists after 4-5 days and shall need examination by the physician under vision and a swab test would then be necessary. In the mean time you can apply an antiseptic ointment like soframycin thrice a day and that shall help in early healing.
