Brief Answer:
Seems to be bronchitis.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having smelly phlegm with blood. I would like to ask you few more details.

- Are you having a habit of smoking ?
- Is your cough is associated with dust or allergic rhinitis (sneezes with running nose) ?

Kindly get back to me with the details.

Based on your clinical details, it appears to be bronchitis secondary to infection.

I suggest you to follow these measures to overcome your cough issues.

1. stop consuming freezer products (curd/ ice cream). do steam inhalation twice daily and stop smoking (if you are with these habit).

2. You need to see a local physician or ent surgeon for a prescription containing anibiotic (odorous phlegm indicates infection) and cough suppresents. If necessary x-ray chest and blood tests are needed ( your doctor will decide after doing examination).

3. In the mean time, take antiallergic medication, tab. Zyrtec (citrizine 10 mg) once daily to control allergy.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
