Suggest Treatment For Blisters On Body Caused By Spider Bite

Question: Hi i was bitten by I'm thinking a spider 8 days ago, the first 3 days I just had a fair bit of pain under my left arm & across the top of my left breast, by day 4 that area has blistered a spreading (with the are of my arm pit & breast) it's also quite painful , feels like sharp knives slicing my skin. What do u recommend? Cheers;)

1. Since you are not sure about the insect which bit you, I guess it might be one with a significant bite which might have introduced an infection in the area.

2. It looks like an abscess has developed and that is causing the sharp pain in the region. In an early stage, an abscess can be controlled with antibiotics and pain relief.

3. Most doctors give a short course of antibiotics for 5 to 7 days. If there is no response to the medicine and increase in pain even after 3 days of antibiotics then the abscess requires incision and drainage which is a minor surgery done by the doctor.

In conclusion, I suggest that you have it looked at by your doctor and then after examining clinically, your doctor should take a decision of prescribing antibiotics or doing an incision and drainage.
