Brief Answer:
Vaginal vault pap smear

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Slight pain in the back can be there after hysterectomy, due to stretching of nerves or can be due to muscle spasm.
However, brown discharge should not be there after hysterectomy.
In my opinion, you should get the pap smear of the vaginal vault to rule out any premalignant lesions, which can cause such spotting.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
