Question: My ankle sprain with severe swelling is weeping liquid, is this ok?

The accumulated fluids to the limbs causes exudation that leads to weeping. To manage this, you should raise your legs high each tie you are seated or lying to at least the level of the body. This will facilitate fluid return to the body and reduce swelling and weeping. Applying Ice packs would help reduce the swelling and pain as well . If you are in severe pain, please consider taking a pain medications to help with this like advil/aleve if they are safe to you(ask your pharmacist)! I hope the sprain has been evaluated and manged accordingly. If not, please get consulted by an orthopedic surgeon for proper evaluation and treatment. I hope this helps I wish you well.
