Suggest Treatment For Anal Fissure And Grade 1 Piles
Question: Hi
I want to enquire about the fissure and piles (1st stage) and had this problem for more than 2 years now as earlier it is only fissure and in between got lot of pain so check then doctor told me you had one fissure and Piles also. He has suggested me for laser operation.Can you please guide me and I need doctor in XXXXXXX if I want to visit him.

To recapitulate: Male/36 - anal fissure and grade I piles - 2 years - pain - suggested for lase operation - taking Ano ack cream, medicine, Smuth and French bath (shake in tub hot water)- wants Doctor in XXXXXXX ....
Since you have got the problem of fissure-in-ano since 2 years, this is called a Chronic anal fissure - due to pain one needs to strain at passing bowel movement (stool) hence the force applied makes the veins to get engorged to cause piles.
Since the piles are of grade I, these will be automatically treated if the fissure is treated well.
Secondly, since your age is 36, it is very important to have preliminary colonoscopy, tests of stool, urine and blood also.
Since this is a Chronic anal fissure you need a surgical treatment. There are few option available. Once is dilation under anesthesia or a lateral sphincterotomy by a simple cut with special knife or laser or so. The results are the same for all.
The additional factors help you to get cured and these are:
Make a list of foods and beverages that cause you constipation or any problem with intestines or stool and stop these strictly.
Keeping away from stress and/or anxiety is very important.
Sitz bath and medications to be continued.
