Question: Today I noticed a small growth near my small tongue. I am not sure if this one appeared recently or was there with my for long time. I searched internet and read about oral HPV and wart. I have zero chance of getting it as STD. Attached is the picture. kindly clarify.

Brief Answer:
Oral HPV infections are unlikely in the absence of Felatio.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
HPV infection of throat is not common to have. It is reported in children born to mothers having genital warts while the baby passes through birth canal.
If you don't have any history of oral sex with another man as a recipient, you need not bother about the same.
The picture's clarity is not so well to differentiate the lesion from a growth or wart or an abcess. But your throat is congested means you have some acute throat infection. Consult an ENT surgeon and get well soon.

Brief Answer:
The lesion seems to be a growth

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
It does not look like abcess.
It seems like a growth. Close inspection of the lesion will reveal the diagnosis. If necessary, biopsy may be sorted to fix the diagnosis.
