Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. I assume that there was no fracture and it has been ruled out by X ray chest. If not, then kindly rule it out by feeling any crack and getting Chest X ray done if doubt.

For pain relief, you can follow few tips

: If redness and warm skin, apply icepacks to reduce redness and swelling

: Avoid pressure at pain site. Try to lie on opposite side or supine

: You can apply painkiller gel like Diclofenac sodium, available as OTC gel. Apply it 3-4 times daily.

: You can use Painkiller patch to get some relief for 8-10 hours like Diclofenac patch after proper prescription.

: You can take painkiller with anti-inflammatory action like Diclofenac sodium with serratiopeptidase to relieve pain, swelling and redness which are available as OTC drug. If no relief, use combination like Aceclofenac-Paracetamol tablets after proper prescription.

: Ultracet contains tramadol and acetaminophen which are good pain killers. You can take it along with above mentioned combination.

: If still no relief, ask for injectable painkiller like tramadol/diclofenac or opioids like Oxycodone/Hydrocodone. You can ask doctor to prescribe it. Do not use them more than 2-3 days.

After some relief in pain, you can ask physiotherapist for infrared therapy/ultrasonic therapy to fatten recovery.

Hope it will help. If still in doubt, do let me know.

Thanks. Take care.
