Brief Answer:
Consult a neurologist for proper examination

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Severe pain in the left lower back could be due to muscle spasm, disc herniation or disc compression in the spinal cord.
If there is persistent abnormal sensation in the left part of your body post backache, chances of some disc compression or neurological involvement.
I suggest you to consult a neurologist so that you can be properly examined, investigated including MRI and get further treatment accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.

Brief Answer:
Visit a neurologist for complete clinical examination

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
I have gone through your uploaded images.
There is no apparent nerve root compression or disc prolapse visible. However it require all the images in pdf format to review completely.
Short duration back pain most commonly occurs due to muscle spasm. The intake of pain killers with muscle relaxants and local applications may help.
The feeling of abnormal sensation on left side of body requires evaluation by neurologist for possibility of partial seizures or some objective motor or sensory loss.
Is there any history of headache, vomiting, fever, seizures, head injury, loss of consciousness, ear discharge, hearing loss, motor weakness or sensory loss.
These abnormal sensations are persistent or episodic lasting for seconds.
Investigations may require brain imaging and EEG.
You can provide more details.

Dear Doctor,

I do not have any history of headache, vomiting, fever, seizures, head injury, loss of consciousness, ear discharge, hearing loss, motor weakness or sensory loss.

These sensations are persistent. If I am busy i.e. watching movies etc. then I do not notice them but as soon as I am free I feel these all over my left body.

I wanted to enquire whether anxiety could cause this situation as I has anxiety in past. Also I had sever bout of hay fever recently, could the sensation on the face be due to sinus?

Please advise the further course of action.

Warm Regards,

Kuldeep

Brief Answer:
May be related to anxiety

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
In view of absence of all features of brain lesion and history of anxiety, the cause seems to be related to anxiety and nothing serious.
You should take amitryptiline for low back pain and anxiety.
Sinus usually do not have associated sensory phenomenon, can have tenderness over face on touching.
Do regular physiotherapy.
Visit a neurologist if required.
