Suggest Remedy For Painful Swelling After Leg Injury

default
Posted on Tue, 14 Jul 2015
Question: I have a leg injury that i received from a cable that you use to chain up your dog. There is quite a bit of swelling. The cable left a scab or burn on my skin. It is very painful alone let alone putting pressure on my leg. Injury is about 3 inches above my ankle but on front on my leg. I do not think it "broke" my leg but could it have caused other damage? Should I get an xray?

Brief Answer:
You may not need x ray.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have read your query and seen clinical photo.

Clean the wound with betadine and give compression dressing.

If wound is deep you may need medical check up and suturing.
If wound is deep then there can be muscle injury.
You may not need x ray.
So consult your treating doctor.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
