default
Posted on Tue, 8 Dec 2015
Question: I had an EP study done 2 days ago, and the groin and lover stomach alene the veins they used are painful to touch and it's painful when I use the muscles in that area. I feel nothing when lying down relaxing, also no swelling, redness or particular warmth. This is on my right side. No blood thinners. Not super painful either. Just a muscle pull?

Brief Answer:
It requires rest and analgesic.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. It may be muscle pull or painful vein in the area from where catheter was passed. It requires rest and analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. Dose of IBUPROFEN is 400 mg maximum three times a day depending on pain after meals for 3-4 days.Vitamins B and C help in recovery. These can be taken for a week. It may take 3-4 days to become normal.

You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
